ABOUT THE CONCERT
On the occasion of the 25th World AIDS Conference, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, in cooperation with the Bavarian State Opera, will give a high-profile charity concert in the Prinzregententheater on July 24 to raise money for the Munich AIDS-Hilfe.
World-class soloists will perform with the MKO for a good cause. Under the direction of Ivor Bolton, soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, tenor Pavol Breslik and violinist Arabella Steinbacher will perform a variety-packed program – with passionate, rousing music by W.A. Mozart, Maurice Ravel and Astor Piazzolla.
All proceeds from the concert, which is sponsored by the City of Munich, will be donated to the Münchner AIDS-Hilfe, which has been campaigning for solidarity, diversity, self-determination and health for 40 years. The concert, which will take place this year as part of the Bavarian State Opera’s opera festival, picks up on the successful series of AIDS concerts that the MKO performed in the Prinzregententheater between 2007 and 2019 for the benefit of Münchner AIDS-Hilfe.
As we wanted to keep the ticket prices within reasonable limits, we are asking all the more for donations. Above all, however, we would be delighted if your participation makes the concert a complete success once again.
After the concert, we look forward to ending the evening with all our guests in the Gartensaal of the Prinzregententheater.
